This is an experimental documentary based on the personal experiences of people from Hong Kong, which is to revert to China in 1997. This program addresses some issues around the disasporic condition: the possibilities and limitations of trying to formulate an identity when it is constantly in flux, when home is the name of a particular place but it also lost. It seeks to express the frustrations and desires of an international disaporic community produced by colonialism. It does not seek to separate the personal from the political and views the struggle of self-determination in one’s sexuality as an essential part of one’s political life. |
