Marie, a postulant for seven years in an order of nuns, decides to take her perpetual vows and commit herself to a life in the church. Or maybe not. She’s deeply attracted to Trevor, a social worker at the refugee centre she runs. Handsome, funny and kind, he respects Marie’s devotion to God, but also finds himself falling in love with her. Despite her strong conviction that her love of God will triumph over her love of Trevor, Marie is torn by her desires. Unable to untangle herself from this tug-of-war between two conflicting passions, Marie prays for some kind of divine intervention. |
